SENIOR CITIZENS PROGRAM INITIATIVE
The population of seniors age 60 and over is expected to double within the next 25 years.
They are retired and looking for opportunities to continue to grow as individuals and provide service to their community.
The Senior Citizens organized the Historical Research Committee responsible for collecting artifacts and documents for the historic Bethel Cultural Arts Center museum.
The Foundation recently partnered with the DSS Faith Base Initiative to address the disparities for the senior population that live just above the poverty level who are at- risk of falling into poverty with the slightest adversity.
This program is designed for seniors that want to live independently and provide assistance to each other in these areas: medical, transportation, legal assistance, household management, home repair and upkeep, and spirituality.
